At our discretion, we may agree to provide a discounted rate for multiple dogs in the same household or for stays of more than three weeks duration. We would be happy to discuss these arrangements with you.
Cancelled bookings, with little or no notice, have a big impact particularly during busy periods when we have turned away other guests. We limit our number of guests so we do not get so busy that we cannot provide the best care. It is usually not possible to fill these vacancies at the last minute.
We would ask that you give us at least two week’s notice of cancellation. We will continue to take tentative bookings with the understanding that you will confirm the stay at least two weeks prior. At our discretion, we would request reimbursement of fifty percent of the stay fees if sufficient notice is not provided.
Our Care and its value to you
Please call or E-mail to let us know when you will arrive to pick up or drop off your dog.
Phone: (902) 827-3135.
Please keep this number/address on hand so you can get in touch.
- Unexpected arrivals can be difficult to manage.
Each guest dog thinks it's their human and they want to be the first at the gate.
We want to have your dog ready to greet you so you have a happy reunion.
We also want to get their belongings together so you won't be delayed.
- Staying an extra night or two may be necessary due to travel delays.
We know this is beyond your control but please call or E-mail to let us know of a change in your dog's departure date.
- Another important reason to call is our beach walk, play times and other committments.
If we're not sure when you're coming, we may have to cancel our planned outings.
If you're going to be late, please call so we can adjust our plans.
Even an extra half hour can be used for a short walk, a game of fetch or to have our lunch.
- If possible, please plan to drop your critter off between 9 am and 4 pm.
Late evening arrivals are difficult as there may not be enough time for the guests to meet & greet before bedtime.
- Please try not to arrive when we are feeding the dogs.
Breakfast is between 8 am and 9 am. Dinner is between 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm.
- Please bring the appropriate amount of dog food.
If your dog's stay is only a night or two, don't bring a huge bag of food. Just put enough food for the stay in a storage bag or container.
It never hurts to add enough for an extra day or two, just in case their departure is delayed.
If your critter is here for an extended stay, please make sure there is enough food for the full stay plus a little extra.
We will purchase additional food if we run out and the cost will be passed along to you.
- If your dog requires medication, please bring them with you and write out the dosage instructions.
Please advise your veterinarian that we are providing care during your absense in case additional meds are required.
- If your dog has had any recent health problems or has any chronic illness, please tell us.
If there are any physical limitations that we should be aware of, please let us know.
- We do not provide grooming services but we will do our best to keep your dog clean and tidy.
We can arrange for a grooming with a local firm if necessary and the cost will be passed along to you.
If you have specific grooming criteria, please let us know in advance.
